This week we have integrated a new dataset into Pathways that shows career progression from all of your vocational courses. This allows you to highlight clear progression from your A Level, BTEC and now Vocational courses through HE and onto a variety of careers.
Pathways uses data from a number of recognised sources to help map progression from your courses to careers and to display clear Labour Market Information for that job.
Prior to this week’s update, Pathways mapped your A Level and BTEC courses to further study and careers. We were aware that many students who progress to HE hold other qualification types that are not A Levels or BTECs and as such, wanted to address this and offer progression data for all vocational courses.
HESA data
Working with HESA, we have commissioned a new dataset that details the Level 3 Vocational qualifications held on entry to HE for students in the latest academic year.
This new dataset is now live in your Pathways account and sits alongside the existing datasets for A Levels and BTECs and gives you greater scope for choosing how to embed Pathways and map your courses to careers.
Flexibility
Pathways now gives you the flexibility to show progression to careers from all of your courses and subject areas. Use the Job Sector version to display related careers from one of our 26 job sectors, or map your A Level, BTEC and Vocational courses to routes through HE and on to a variety of careers.
And with Pathways Solo, you can utilise Pathways as a stand-alone tool to support your careers guidance at open events and in schools.
